On Sunday 3rd July I’m participating in CLEAN UP DAY, an initiative created by landscape photography master, passionate environmentalist, and founder of Photographers For The Environment, Christian Fletcher of Christian Fletcher Photo Images.

Lake Monger is my area and I’ll spend a few hours there picking up rubbish around the lake. The aim of the day is to encourage others to join in on the clean ups, so if anyone would like to come along and assist it would be hugely appreciated – plus there will be a complimentary sense of pride felt when the area is rubbish free.

Lake Monger is relatively clean compared to some other locations around Perth, but it often has paper rubbish, discarded cans, and cigarette buts scattered in the bushes where the birds nest, and along the waters edge.

The clean up will run from 2pm – 4pm (ish) and meeting point will be on Dodd Street, up the Dodd Street end of the lake, in the carpark. Recommend to bring garbage bags, enclosed shoes and gloves. We will be taking before and after photos and heading to Leederville afterwards for a coffee. Hope to see you there! ‪#‎CleanUpDay‬

Now I have your attention, please stand by for an important message. Our friends at SAFE Perth – Saving Perth Animals from Euthanasia have been inundated with puppies needing homes – just like this adorable duo who were rescued from the Mandurah Pound and who will soon be up for adoption. An influx of pups means existing SAFE Perth resources are stretched and new foster carers are required to help out. Could this be you?

If you are searching for a perfect furry four-legged family member please visit…/en/adopt-a-…/dogs-for-adoption
Or if you are able to open your home to puppies in need please contact SAFE through this link They would love to hear from you.

When rescue puppies get a flat battery.

On 22nd May I’m pounding the pavement in the HBF Run for a Reason, and I need your help. As team leader of the Guide Dogs WA Jog 4 a Dog group, I’ve pledged to raise at least $1000 to help Guide Dogs train a new puppy.

This will make a life changing difference for a West Australian who is blind or severely vision impaired.

Will you support my run by donating today? A $25 donation will make a massive difference for Guide Dogs and to my goal. Just click here…/team-leader-alex-cear… to donate today

These four babies came to visit us, along with Nicole, the fabulous Vice Pres of SAFE Perth – Saving Perth Animals from Euthanasia. OK, there might have been a small poo emergency on arrival, but Nic and I sorted it in no time. Alright, Nic sorted most of it while I tried to appear helpful by holding the roll of paper towel. She is the consummate professional.

The kittens were collected by SAFE Perth from the Mandurah pound and are currently in foster care. Soon they‘ll be up for adoption and will be joyful, sweet companions for some lucky humans. Oh and black cats are pretty awesome too, speaking from experience.  These SAFE Perth  kittens would like to wish you all a happy Friday the 13th. They want you to stretch out for the weekend and ignore all that rubbish about black cats and bad luck. On the contrary, they told me black cats make awesome companions, just like white, brown, grey, blue, tabby, brindle, tuxedo and ginger cats do.

SAFE Perth currently has a record number of cats and kittens in care, and is seeking potential adopters and additional foster carers. Resources are stretched and they really need our help.

If you are searching for a marvelous meow to add to your family please visit…/en/cats-available-for-adoption
Or if you are able to sign up as a kitten foster carer, please contact SAFE through this link

We are thrilled to announce a new partnership with our favourite pet product retailer PETstock who will be generously providing the select toys and treats I use during my studio photo sessions.

With 100+ stores across Australia (and 4 in New Zealand) and 1000+ team members, ‪#‎PETstock‬ remains a family owned and operated organisation. We love that they are strongly committed to supporting rescue organisations through their ‪#‎PETstockassist‬ program, and to date they have contributed more than a million dollars to help rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs, cats and other pets nationwide. More than a million dollars! That’s staggering!

Today we replaced our entire set of studio toys with PEtstock products, including dog and cat items from three exclusive PETstock ranges – Huggle Hounds, Neon Brights and Bark-a-boo. I can’t wait to show our cat clients the new Meow Mitt glove – it’s going to be a big hit. We also restocked our treat drawer with dozens of pet snacks, giving us a supply broad enough to satisfy even the fussiest eaters.

We are very grateful to PETstock for their invaluable support as our studio sponsor and look forward to working together.

RUGGED UP! Met customer service team member Trinity the pug at the PETstock Balcatta checkout yesterday. #PugLove #Pugitude
