Pet Lover’s Cafe picked up their HUGE family canvas this week.
Biggest thanks to the 17 wonderful people who made our Better Animal Photography Course so much fun. There were lots of laughs and some amazing photos and it really was a pleasure to teach. Thanks also to course sponsors Whiteman Park, Leaf Bean Machine and Team Digital and to Ramona for her delicious cakes!
At the invitation of Peel based photographer Shannon Gillespie, I was invited to feature on her blog “Some Pretty Things”. I did a ”Q and A” with Shannon about the animal photograph’s I create at Houndstooth Studio, and why and how I do what I do!
Me thinks it makes for a great read, haha! Check it out here!
…Then checkout my online ”Handy tips for photographing your pets”, provided in conjunction with one of my fabulous sponsors, Momento Australia.

As part of my official photographer duties for the RSPCA WA, twice a year I conduct pet photography classes for children aged 8 to 12. The sessions are part of the RSPCA’s school holiday program and staff rate them as the most popular activity of the program! Participants learn several tips and tricks to help them take improved animal photos and a practical session of photographing animals is held too. It’s great value for only $25, all of which goes to the RSPCA WA.
This year we are running two classes on two dates;
Friday 8th January 2010 from 9:30am to 11:30am and 1:30pm to 3:30pm
Tuesday 28th September 2010 from 9:30am to 11:30am and 1:30pm to 3:30pm
For more information on the RSPCA WA’s school holiday program click here, or to make a booking call 08 9209 9325.
