STUDIO PET PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY
Houndstooth Studio provides a professional pet photography service in our custom-designed pet studio. We cater for all pets, including dogs, cats, reptiles, rats, rabbits, ferrets, birds, horses … even fish! Our studio is a safe, fun space where your pet can be totally at ease. We use specialist controlled lighting to ensure your pet looks their very best, and have an abundance of toys and tricks on hand to maintain your pets’ attention and make their photo session an exciting event. Plus our photographer Alex is an animal photography specialist! That’s right, she is an expert when it comes to handling and photographing animals and this ensures she always captures “the shot”.
Your pet will be rewarded with an array of treats and cuddles – You will be rewarded with character-filled portraits captured by an award-winning animal photographer.
Sessions start from $145 for weekdays during the day and $195 for weekend and evening bookings.
We are open four days and two evenings per week and our hours of business are:
Tuesday and Wednesday 11am until 9pm
Thursday and Saturday 11am until 5pm

INTERSTATE AND REGIONAL SESSIONS
Do you live outside of Perth, WA? If so, we have great news for you – We travel anywhere within Australia! When we reach minimum booking numbers (8) we can then plan a series of studio pet photo sessions in your area. So this means Houndstooth Studio portrait images of your pet are available to you no matter where you live. At present we have interest registered for Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne, Hobart and Canberra. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you would like to add your location to the list.
GIFT VOUCHERS
A Houndstooth Studio gift voucher is the perfect present for every pet owner. Our vouchers are suitable for all occasions – Christmas, birthdays, engagements, weddings, Mothers and Fathers Day … or simply ‘just because’. Packages start from $145 and include a 5in x 7in print valued at $120. So for $145 your recipient receives $265 in value. You can also add credit to your gift voucher too. We are able to process vouchers online or over the phone, and can post them out the same day.

COMMERCIAL ANIMAL PHOTOGRAPHY – AUSTRALIA WIDE
At Houndstooth Studio we offer photography packages with competitive rates to commercial clients throughout Australia. We have completed successful commercial photo campaigns for a number of satisfied state and national commercial customers.
Technology allows us to conduct photo sessions in our fully equipped studio for clients located anywhere within Australia, then utilise email and file transfer programs to liaise in real time. We frequently source animal talent for particular shot briefs’ and conduct studio photo sessions for commercial clients located outside of Western Australia. Alternatively, we are able to travel to a particular location to shoot with an art director or creative team.
Alex and her assistants are competent in handling, and working with, a range of animals and Alex has a diploma in Animal Care. This means we will safely and confidently capture images of any creature in a studio environment, even horses and farm animals. Alex is also schooled in pet product photography.

WILDLIFE PRINTS & WILDLIFE STOCK IMAGES
Beautiful wildlife images captured by our photographer Alex Cearns are available for purchase as framed or unframed prints and stock images. Alex is also available for commissioned wildlife assignments and recently photographed for Australian Geographic Magazine.

ANIMAL CHARITY PHOTOGRAPHY AND SPONSORSHIP – GIVING BACK
At Houndstooth Studio, we regularly donate our time and images to state, national and international animal charity organisations. We provide in excess of $500,000 in pro-bono photography services and photographs per annum and also provide cash and other sponsorship to charity functions. We can photograph animals in our studio or in natural light and provide a disc of high resolution, fully edited images to our charity client.
We recently added animal events, days of action and rally photography to our repertoire and offer this service for free to any animal charity organisation.
